dc.description.abstractenThe search for new energy sources to ensure the application the energy needs of the operational combat units of the National Guard of Ukraine in the context of national security and defence is extremely important. The modern world is facing major challenges in the energy sector, among which the key ones are energy independence and sustainable development. Ukraine's energy problems lie in both technical equipment and sources of energy supply. The fuel and energy sector of Ukraine is characterised by negative trends, including a growing shortage of domestic primary energy resources due to the enemy's damage to a large number of energy infrastructure facilities, rising costs and problems with external supplies, and insufficient efficiency in the use of available fuel and energy resources. Problems with the supply of traditional energy resources prompt the accelerated introduction of new types of energy facilities that use renewable energy sources. Wind power plants, as one of the most efficient types of renewable energy, play an important role in reducing dependence on imported energy resources and enhancing the country's energy security. In the context of national security and defence, diversification of energy sources is extremely important. Wind power can provide a stable energy supply to military facilities and critical infrastructure even in the event of a crisis or conflict. The use of wind and wind power plants as a source of energy is currently considered a priority. The application of the latest developments of low-power wind turbines will give a positive result and create the possibility of using them in combat missions.
